Saree Sunday Week 19
Sonakshi Sinha continued her promotion round for Rowdy Rathore and was seen on the sets of Dance India Dance. She wore a pink saree with a silver and purple border, paired with a matching blouse. I like this look on her because it definitely give the vibe of a simple, Indian girl. However, I do feel like she should have worn a bit more jewelry because it looks a bit too simple. A nice necklace or bracelet would have made the look a bit better.
P.S. This week it’s not Vidya!

Complete Family
Shilpa Shetty had her baby boy this past week and she look so pretty when leaving the hospital with hubby Raj and their newborn son. For someone who gave birth just a few days back, she looks absolutely gorgeous. I love the high-low top she wore with a pair of leggings and even gave a pop of color with her yellow tote bag. My best wishes go out to Shilpa and Raj as they begin parenthood with their little one!

Hot or Not Party Edition
Karan Johar turned the big 40 this year and threw a big party in Mumbai, which was attended by many celebrities from Bollywood. With any party, there are definitely hits and misses when it comes to style and this party wasn’t any different. A few of my favorites include Asin, Karisma, Sonali and Tabu. Each leading lady looked fabulous in her own way and the fashionable men were not to far behind them. Hrithik, Shahrukh, Uday and the birthday boy Karan himself looked stellar!

Cannes You Believe It?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally made an appearance at the Amfar gala at Cannes and it looks like she has lost a bit of weight. I’m glad she chose to attend Cannes, though many have severely criticized her weight gain. To be completely honest, I really do not like her outfit of choice at this event because I think the saree would have looked much better with a shorter top. Her top doesn’t go with the saree at all and I think she should have chosen something else.

Printed Pants
Shruti Hassan attended the GAS Showroom launch in an outfit that wasn’t exactly my favorite. To begin with, she wore a grey and white print pants that I just cannot stand! They do nothing for her and a pair of colored crops would have been a better option. In addition, her whole look is a bit drab for summer and she should have included some color in her look, other than grey. Overall the look doesn’t do anything for her and she could have done much better!

Red Hot
Sonakshi Sinha was spotted promoting her film Rowdy Rathore on the sets of CID. She wore a red salwar with three quarter sleeves, along with some color mojaris and a few bangles on her wrist. Though she may be wearing an in-character look, I think she look absolutely gorgeous in this look. Sonakshi definitely looks gorgeous in this outfit and I’m ready to see more from her!

Classic Colors
Bipasha Basu attended the Aza store launch in a white and black long anarkali salwar. I love that she wore classic colors but I really do not like the print on the border of the salwar and shawl. I think she should have added some color to the look to make it look a bit modern but I do think that she does look pretty in this look.

Fashionable Arrival?
Priyanka Chopra was spotted at the airport, coming home from a trip to LA. She wore a white button down, tan pants and shoes. I don’t think this was one of her better looks because the shoes and pants are too close in color. Also, she should have worn flats or sandals in a fun, bright color because her heels are too chunky with her pants. This look is pretty blah and Priyanka could have done much better!

Saree Sunday Week 18
Vidya Balan is a recurring individual on my sunday series, probably due to the fact that she really loves her sarees. She wore an orange saree with a brown border and print blouse, paired with a few bangles and large silver earrings. I’m on the fence with this look because it’s nothing great but it isn’t horrible either. It seems like this is not one of her better look and I know that Vidya can do much better. Maybe next week, because most likely it’ll be Vidya again, she’ll surprise us in a fabulous saree!

A Bit Long
Neha Dhupia launched the Shoppers Stop’s gift card wearing a white button down top with a coral tulip hem skirt, black pumps and gold and black jewelry. I feel like the outfit is a bit matronly on her due to the length of her skirt. If it was around her knees, the outfit would make her look much younger. In addition, the black shoes should be swapped for gold shoes because it would look much better for a spring/summer look. This could have been a really beautiful look if Neha had made a few simple changes.
